Original Get MP3 to MIDI synthetic fixture. Test: 2026-09-26 15:58 UTC.
Run python3 generator.py in an empty directory. It writes reference.wav and quiet.wav. No dependencies beyond Python standard library.
Open https://getmp3tomidi.com/ and choose each file. Set minimum=40 ms and transpose=0. Run reference at gate=-40 dB, quiet at gate=-40 dB, then quiet at gate=-60 dB.
Measured counts: 8, 0, 8. Outputs were saved from the live page MIDI encoder (the same bytes supplied to its download link), then parsed with mido. MIDI event times use the file tempo, without alignment correction.
Ground truth: pitches 60,60,64,67,67,64,62,60; onset=i*0.24 seconds; end=i*0.24+0.18 seconds.

You may use, modify and redistribute our generated fixtures, generator and observed MIDI outputs to reproduce this experiment. Synthetic signals do not establish real-music accuracy.
