GET MP3 TO MIDI
About this site
Get MP3 to MIDI is an independent tool created and maintained by the owner of getmp3tomidi.com, publishing under the site name Get MP3 to MIDI.
The tool estimates MIDI notes from audio. Choose Melody for a voice or solo line, or Polyphonic for chords and overlapping notes, before selecting your file. Polyphonic uses browser-local Spotify Basic Pitch. Recordings use Melody unless you explicitly choose another mode. You can also re-analyze a result in the other mode without uploading the audio.
Check before you download
Compare Original audio and MIDI playback at the same position, inspect the piano-roll preview, and adjust the global note filter, minimum note length or transpose. In “Fix individual notes,” select an existing note to delete it or change its pitch one semitone at a time. Undo last edit reverses the last change; Restore original returns to the notes before individual edits. Check the passage again, then download the .mid file. Use an external music app to add missing notes, move their start or end times, or choose an instrument. The solo voice walkthrough explains the local correction steps.
What the tool exports
The download is Standard MIDI File Type 0: one track and one note channel, with a 120 BPM time basis and 960 ticks per quarter note. It preserves estimated timing without beat quantization. The 120 BPM value is not detected song tempo. Overlapping notes stay together; the tool does not separate instrument stems, export sheet music, or render WAV or MP3 files.
Files are limited to 50 MiB. Polyphonic analysis accepts up to 5 minutes; Melody accepts up to 10 minutes. Browser decoding support and device memory can impose additional limits. Dense mixes can produce extra or missing notes, so keep the recording and check the result.
Built for local processing
Audio decoding, note estimation, preview and MIDI generation run in your browser. Model and website files are downloaded to the browser, but your selected audio files and recordings are not uploaded to a server. No account or payment is required. Optional visitor analytics loads only if you allow it; see the privacy policy.
